Thomas S. Leary Jr.
Vice President, Capital Construction and Facilities Management
Thomas S. Leary Jr. was appointed vice president for capital construction and facilities management effective January 10, 2011. Reporting directly to the senior vice president, finance, and chief financial officer, Leary not only oversees the university’s capital construction and facilities management operations, but also provides strategic input for USC’s master-plan design and implementation on both the University Park and Health Sciences campuses.
Before joining USC, Leary worked on a variety of large-scale projects for major developers, including the $9 billion MGM Mirage CityCenter in Las Vegas. Most recently, as president of Leary Development, LLC, he oversaw operations associated with procurement, refurbishment and resale of distressed residential properties in central Florida.
Leary has worked in construction management for more than 25 years and holds a bachelor of science degree in construction engineering technology from Spring Garden College in Philadelphia.
