Senior Vice President of Communications
Kyle Henley, a veteran communications leader with decades of academic and corporate experience was appointed senior vice president of communications in March 2021. Reporting directly to the president, Henley will provide strategic direction on communicating USC’s academic vision and its community and global impact.
Henley joins USC from the University of Oregon, where served as vice president for university communications since 2015, bringing with him a wealth of communications experience to the role having served several years in both the corporate and agency sectors prior to his work in higher education. He oversaw digital, marketing and public affairs communications at the University of Oregon and previously served as assistant vice president for strategic communications at Colorado State University.
He began his career as a journalist and is eager to demonstrate the reach of higher education — from the benefits of a college degree to a single graduate to the global impact of major scientific discoveries.
Henley holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications from Northern Colorado University.
