Greg Condell was appointed vice president for finance in March, 2017. Reporting to the chief financial officer, he oversees the functions of treasury and university budget.
Condell comes to USC from Northeastern University, in Boston, MA, where he served as vice president for finance. His responsibilities included controllership, university budgeting and planning, post-award research administration, procurement, dining, parking, internal consulting, tax, leased real estate, and special projects for the senior leadership team. He led a number of institution-level initiatives toward Northeastern 2025, including international campus expansion and extension of Northeastern’s experiential learning model on a global scale.
Prior to his tenure at Northeastern, Condell served as senior manager in Accenture’s management consulting practice. While there he co-founded the state and local government management consulting practice with a focus on shared services and business transformation. He also co-founded the management consulting practice for the higher education industry across a variety of disciplines. His clients included the University of Texas (Austin), the University of Michigan, the fourteen public universities of Ohio, the New York Metropolitan Transit Authority, Columbia University, Yale University, and New York University.
Condell holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
